Great service and great working through the issue to devise a gameplan and help me get my dishwasher replaced. I started off with a dishwasher that broke down and researched a few appliances. My refrigerator/freezer produced excessive ice causing the causing to make a strange and loud noise. I thought the fan/motor was damaged. With the help of a friend, we removed the fan/motor and order a replacement. Well! I ordered the wrong part. My refrigerator/freezer was off for about one and half month. Dryer vent cleaning FAQ
How often should a dryer vent be cleaned?
Once a year for most homes, and more often with a large family, pets, or a long or roof-bound vent run. If drying times creep up, don’t wait.
Is a clogged dryer vent really a fire risk?
Yes. The U.S. Fire Administration estimates about 2,900 home clothes dryer fires a year, and failure to clean is the leading cause. Lint is highly flammable and a blocked vent traps heat.
What does dryer vent cleaning include?
We disconnect the dryer, clean the full duct to the outside, clear the outside cap and flap, replace a crushed or foil transition hose if needed, clean behind and under the dryer, and check the airflow.
Will it fix a Check Vent or d80 code?
Usually. Those codes mean the dryer is sensing restricted airflow. If the vent is clean and the code stays, we can test the dryer itself — see dryer repair.
How much does dryer vent cleaning cost?
