Great service and great working through the issue to devise a gameplan and help me get my dishwasher replaced. I started off with a dishwasher that broke down and researched a few appliances. My refrigerator/freezer produced excessive ice causing the causing to make a strange and loud noise. I thought the fan/motor was damaged. With the help of a friend, we removed the fan/motor and order a replacement. Well! I ordered the wrong part. My refrigerator/freezer was off for about one and half month. Heat pump repair FAQ
Is it normal for my heat pump to ice up?
A light frost in cold, damp weather is normal, and the defrost cycle clears it every so often. A thick block of ice that doesn’t clear means a defrost part, a fan or the refrigerant charge needs attention.
Why is my heat pump blowing cold air?
For a few minutes during defrost, that’s normal. If it blows cool air for longer, the reversing valve, refrigerant charge or backup heat may be the problem.
Why is my emergency heat always on?
Emergency (auxiliary) heat uses electric heat strips, which cost more to run. If it’s coming on all the time, the heat pump itself isn’t keeping up — have it checked.
How much does heat pump repair cost?
It depends on the part and the labor involved. The $69 service call covers the diagnosis and is free when you go ahead with the repair — and you get a flat quote before any work starts.
Do you repair ductless mini-splits?
Yes — Mitsubishi, Daikin, Fujitsu, LG and other ductless systems, single-zone and multi-zone.
