My refrigerator/freezer produced excessive ice causing the causing to make a strange and loud noise. I thought the fan/motor was damaged. Why is my AC blowing warm air?
Check that the thermostat is set to Cool and the filter is clean. If the outdoor unit isn’t running, it’s often a failed capacitor or contactor. If it runs but the air is warm, the system may be low on refrigerant or the coil may be dirty or frozen.
My AC coil is frozen. What should I do?
Turn cooling off and leave the fan on to thaw it, and replace the filter if it’s dirty. Ice usually means low airflow or low refrigerant — if it freezes again, call for AC repair.
Why does my AC keep tripping the breaker?
Usually a failing capacitor, a compressor that’s struggling to start, or a wiring problem. Don’t keep resetting it — have it checked.
How long does AC repair take?
Most repairs take one to two hours once we’re there. Common parts are on the truck, so most AC repair is done on the first visit.
What’s the most common AC part to fail?
The run capacitor — especially during a heat wave. It’s an inexpensive part and a quick repair.
